Mike Koenig Named D CEO’s 2024 Outstanding Healthcare Volunteer

Mike Koenig, a longtime volunteer with Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, has been named the 2024 D CEO Excellence Outstanding Healthcare Volunteer Mike's leadership and dedication have made a profound impact on the hospital and community.

As president of the Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Auxiliary, Mike has raised more than $150,000 for hospital initiatives, including major contributions for the Breast Center and Tower B construction. His innovative fundraising efforts, including a $21,000 program for hospital department needs, have greatly benefited the hospital’s operations and patient care.

Beyond his role at the hospital, Mike’s volunteer work extends to his community, where he leads efforts to provide food for local children in need and introduces underserved youth to aviation through the Golden Triangle Radio Control Airplane Club and ACE Academy.

Mike’s service over the past decade includes more than 3,300 hours of volunteer work, and he continues to be a driving force behind multiple fundraising and outreach programs. His passion for service, leadership, and community involvement has earned him this well-deserved recognition.
