Methodist Mansfield Expands Surgical Capacity with New Operating Room

Mansfield, TX – Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is proud to announce the expansion of its surgical capacity with the official opening of Operating Room 10, a state-of-the-art suite that will allow the hospital to better care for patients requiring complex trauma and neurological surgeries.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony today had a creative twist—a ribbon made of surgical drapes. Longtime OR charge nurse Agnes O’Bryan, who served in the role for 14 years and first proposed converting an equipment storage room into a fully functional operating suite, had the honor of cutting the ribbon.
“Operating Room 10 reflects Methodist Mansfield’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and compassion,” said Juan Fresquez, President of Methodist Mansfield Medical Center. “This expansion is not just about bricks and equipment—it’s about our mission to improve and save lives every day. We are proud to invest in technology and spaces that support our extraordinary care teams and the growing needs of our community.”
With the addition of OR 10, Methodist Mansfield now operates nine advanced surgical suites, each tailored to specific specialties including general surgery, cardiovascular procedures, trauma, neurology, orthopedics, and OB/GYN. The new $4M room enhances both capacity and efficiency, ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality care in a healing environment.
This milestone underscores Methodist Mansfield’s continued dedication to meeting the region’s evolving health needs with expert care, cutting-edge technology, and a heart for service.
